The Internal Medicine Residency Program provides comprehensive training in inpatient and outpatient internal medicine through a three-year categorical residency. Residents train across University of Colorado Hospital, Denver Health, and Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center, gaining experience in general medicine, ICU care, cardiology, subspecialties, emergency medicine, ambulatory care, and continuity clinics. The program follows a 4+4 block schedule, combining four weeks of inpatient training with four weeks of ambulatory, elective, research, and scholarly activities. Residents can also pursue specialized pathways in Global Health, Health Equity & Policy, Medical Education, Medical Leaders, and Research & Investigation.
