Residency in Internal Medicine

• Completion of an MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree from an accredited medical school
• International Medical Graduates (IMGs) must have ECFMG certification before interview
• Applicants must apply through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS)
• Must have valid USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK scores (or COMLEX scores for DO applicants)
• Applicants should have graduated from medical school within the program’s accepted timeframe or demonstrate recent clinical activity
• Must meet eligibility requirements for U.S. residency training and medical licensure
• The program accepts candidates requiring J-1 visa sponsorship (H-1B sponsorship is generally not offered)

The Internal Medicine Residency Program at University of Illinois College of Medicine (UICOM), Chicago is a 3-year ACGME-accredited residency program that provides comprehensive training in the diagnosis, management, and prevention of adult diseases.
