The Dermatology Residency Program at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University provides comprehensive training in medical and surgical dermatology, preparing residents to diagnose and manage a wide range of skin, hair, nail, and mucosal disorders. The program offers extensive clinical exposure through rotations at multiple affiliated hospitals, including inpatient consultation services and outpatient dermatology clinics. Residents gain experience managing common, complex, and rare dermatologic conditions across diverse patient populations. Training includes medical dermatology, dermatologic surgery, pediatric dermatology, dermatopathology, procedural dermatology, and multidisciplinary patient care.
