Dermatology Residency Program

The Dermatology Residency Program at the University of Illinois College of Medicine (UICOM), Chicago is a 3-year ACGME-accredited advanced residency program (PGY-2 to PGY-4) designed to provide comprehensive training in medical, surgical, and procedural dermatology. The program offers extensive clinical exposure in diagnosing and treating a wide range of skin, hair, nail, and mucosal disorders through rotations at University of Illinois Hospital and Clinics, Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, and Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center. Residents receive training in areas including general dermatology, dermatologic surgery, pediatric dermatology, complex medical dermatology, dermatopathology, and cosmetic/procedural dermatology. The curriculum combines hands-on patient care, didactic education, research opportunities, and multidisciplinary collaboration to prepare residents for American Board of Dermatology certification and independent dermatology practice.
