The Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency Program at Reading Hospital — part of **Tower Health Graduate Medical Education — provides a comprehensive and balanced clinical learning experience across the full spectrum of women’s health. Residents gain experience in high-volume obstetric care, prenatal and perinatal medicine, gynecologic surgery, outpatient women’s health clinics, reproductive endocrinology and infertility services, and minimally invasive surgical techniques. The program emphasizes evidence-based practice, continuity of care, patient safety, and compassionate service to diverse patient populations. Educational activities include structured didactic conferences, simulation labs, morbidity and mortality rounds, journal clubs, and quality improvement projects. Residents rotate through inpatient obstetrics units, gynecologic surgery services, outpatient clinics, emergency obstetrics, and subspecialty experiences — all while under close mentorship from experienced Obstetrics & Gynecology faculty. The training prepares graduates for board certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and for careers in academic medicine, community practice, or subspecialty fellowship training.
