The OB/GYN Residency Program at Aurora Health Care is an ACGME-accredited postgraduate training program designed to prepare physicians for independent practice in obstetrics and gynecology. Residents train in general obstetrics, surgical gynecology, and subspecialty rotations including maternal-fetal medicine, reproductive endocrinology, urogynecology, and gynecologic oncology. The curriculum blends hands-on clinical experience with didactic lectures, simulation training in advanced surgical skills, and weekly continuity clinic responsibilities. Residents provide care in ambulatory clinics, inpatient services, and labor/delivery units, gaining proficiency in deliveries, operative procedures, patient counseling, and prenatal care. The program emphasizes resident wellness, professional development, and clinical research, and supports completion of at least one scholarly project during training. The residency benefits from large women’s health service facilities and extensive faculty mentorship, preparing graduates for board eligibility and diverse clinical practice in women’s health.
