• Must have completed a medical degree (MD / DO or equivalent)
• Must have successfully passed USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 (scores available at time of application)
• Application must be submitted through ResidencyCAS (official application system)
• Only J-1 / J-2 visa sponsorship accepted for international applicants
• Applicants should not have completed a prior categorical U.S. residency (less than 5-year duration) due to funding restrictions
• Candidates in transitional year or early stage of long-duration residency (≥5 years) may be considered

The Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency Program at the University of Illinois College of Medicine (UICOM), Chicago is a 4-year ACGME-accredited training program designed to provide comprehensive education in women’s health. The curriculum offers progressive clinical training across core areas such as general obstetrics and gynecology, maternal–fetal medicine, gynecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, urogynecology, and minimally invasive surgery. Residents gain extensive hands-on experience through high-volume clinical exposure, including labor and delivery, surgical procedures, and outpatient care, while working with a diverse patient population. The program also integrates structured didactics, simulation training, and research opportunities to strengthen clinical knowledge and academic skills. Overall, it prepares graduates for independent practice, board certification, and further subspecialty fellowship training in obstetrics and gynecology.
