Neurology Residency Program

The Neurology Residency at UCSF School of Medicine is a comprehensive, four-year training program designed to develop expertise in the diagnosis and management of neurological disorders. The program combines rigorous clinical training with strong academic and research opportunities across leading UCSF-affiliated hospitals. Residents gain hands-on experience in core areas such as stroke, epilepsy, neurocritical care, neuromuscular diseases, and movement disorders, along with exposure to subspecialty clinics and advanced neuroimaging techniques. The curriculum includes inpatient and outpatient rotations, structured didactics, and mentorship from internationally recognized faculty, preparing residents for independent practice, subspecialty fellowships, or academic careers in neurology.
