1. MD / DO degree or equivalent international medical degree
2. Successful completion of USMLE (Step 1 & Step 2)
3. ECFMG certification (for international medical graduates)
4. Strong academic and clinical performance
5. Dean’s Letter (MSPE) from medical school (mandatory)
6. Minimum 3 Letters of Recommendation (preferably including anesthesiology)
7. Medical school transcript required
8. Personal statement and CV required
9. Eligibility for medical licensure in California
10. Candidates should demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, and commitment to the specialty

The Anesthesiology Residency Program at UCSF School of Medicine is a 4-year ACGME-accredited training program that provides comprehensive education in perioperative medicine, anesthesia, critical care, and pain management.
