Anesthesiology Residency Program

1. MD/DO or equivalent medical degree from an eligible medical school.
2. Applicants should be academically accomplished and demonstrate enthusiasm for anesthesiology and teamwork.
3. USMLE transcript is required.
4. Minimum 3 letters of recommendation are required.
5. International medical graduates (IMGs): ECFMG Status Report is required.
6. The program is a 4-year categorical residency (PGY-1 to PGY-4) and accepts 10 PGY-1 positions annually

The Keck School of Medicine of USC Anesthesiology Residency Program is a four-year, ACGME-approved categorical residency (PGY-1 to PGY-4) based at Keck Medical Center of USC. The program provides comprehensive clinical training across the major subspecialties of modern anesthesiology, including anesthesia, critical care, and pain medicine. Residents receive hands-on experience through clinical rotations, simulation training, dedicated didactics, Grand Rounds, research opportunities, mentorship, and progressive responsibility. The curriculum also includes exposure to surgical specialties, ICU, emergency medicine, OB/GYN, and advanced anesthesiology subspecialties, preparing residents for independent anesthesiology practice or further fellowship training.

6. Submit a minimum of 3 letters of recommendation.

9. IMG applicants must submit an ECFMG Status Report.
10. The program reviews applications and selects candidates for the interview/selection process.
