Ophthalmology Residency Program

• Must have a medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited medical school
• Applicants must be eligible for ophthalmology residency training in the United States

The Wilmer Ophthalmology Residency Program at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is an ACGME-accredited 4-year residency program that provides comprehensive training in medical and surgical ophthalmology. The program offers extensive clinical and surgical experience through Johns Hopkins Hospital, Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, and affiliated clinical facilities, allowing residents to manage a wide range of ophthalmic conditions. Residents receive training across major ophthalmology subspecialties including cornea, retina, glaucoma, pediatric ophthalmology, neuro-ophthalmology, oculoplastics, and comprehensive ophthalmology, along with opportunities for research, clinical education, and academic development.
