Fellowship in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine

• Must have completed an accredited Internal Medicine residency in the United States
• Should be interested in an academic career (clinical/research/education)
• MD/DO or equivalent medical degree
• ECFMG certification required for international medical graduates
• For T32 research track: must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (NIH requirement)

The Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Illinois College of Medicine (UICOM), Chicago is a comprehensive subspecialty training program designed to develop physicians into experts in both respiratory medicine and critical care. The fellowship provides in-depth clinical exposure to a wide range of pulmonary diseases such as asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, and lung infections, along with intensive training in managing critically ill patients in medical intensive care units (ICUs).
