Fellowship in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine

• Must hold an MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
• Must have completed an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency before the fellowship start date.
• Must be eligible for ABIM board certification.
• International Medical Graduates must meet ECFMG and institutional eligibility requirements.
• Must apply through ERAS and participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).
• The program primarily supports U.S. citizens and permanent residents due to NIH training grant funding; exceptional visa applicants may be considered.

The Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is a 3-year ACGME-accredited program designed to train future leaders in pulmonary, critical care, and academic medicine. Fellows receive comprehensive clinical training in pulmonary diseases, intensive care medicine, bronchoscopy, procedural skills, and multidisciplinary patient care across Johns Hopkins Hospital and Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. The program combines extensive hands-on clinical experience with individualized research training, weekly didactic sessions, and mentorship from internationally recognized faculty, preparing graduates for careers in clinical practice, research, and medical education. Approximately 95% of graduates since 2005 have accepted full-time academic positions.
