Fellowship in Geriatric Neurology

• Must have completed an ACGME-accredited Neurology Residency before the fellowship start date.
• Must be American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) board-eligible.
• Must obtain a California medical license prior to the July 1 program start date.
• Applicants must submit the following:

• Medical School Performance Evaluation (MSPE)
• Medical School Transcripts
• Medical School Diploma
• USMLE or COMLEX scores.

The Fellowship in Geriatric Neurology at UC Irvine School of Medicine, Irvine is a UCNS-accredited advanced fellowship that provides specialized training in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of neurological disorders affecting older adults. The program focuses on conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, cognitive impairment, movement disorders, stroke, and other age-related neurological diseases. Fellows gain multidisciplinary clinical experience through rotations in memory disorders, geriatrics, neuropsychology, stroke, movement disorders, and neuromuscular clinics, while also participating in teaching, scholarly activities, and research related to brain aging and neurodegenerative diseases. An optional second year is available for advanced research training, preparing graduates for careers in geriatric neurology, academic medicine, and clinical research.
