Fellowship in Cerebrovascular Skull Base Neurological Surgery

• Must hold an MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree
• Must have completed an ACGME-accredited Neurological Surgery Residency Program
• Must be board eligible or board certified in Neurological Surgery
• Applicants should have advanced clinical training and interest in the relevant neurosurgical subspecialty area (such as Neuroendovascular Surgery, Cerebrovascular & Skull Base Surgery, Stereotactic & Functional Neurosurgery, Epilepsy Surgery, or Neurosurgical Critical Care)
• Must meet UC Irvine institutional requirements for medical licensure and clinical appointment
• International applicants must fulfill applicable U.S. credentialing and visa requirements
• Strong academic background, clinical experience, research involvement, and commitment to subspecialty neurosurgery are preferred

The Neurological Surgery Fellowship Programs at UC Irvine School of Medicine, Irvine provide advanced post-residency training in specialized areas of neurosurgery, including Neuroendovascular Surgery, Cerebrovascular Skull Base Neurological Surgery, Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery, Epilepsy Neurological Surgery, and Neurosurgical Critical Care. These fellowships offer structured, full-time clinical training with exposure to complex neurosurgical procedures, multidisciplinary patient care, advanced surgical technologies, clinical research, and academic activities. Fellows participate in operative cases, outpatient clinics, postoperative management, teaching conferences, journal clubs, skills laboratories, and research activities under experienced neurosurgical faculty mentorship.
