The Dermatopathology Fellowship at UCSF School of Medicine, San Francisco is a 2-year advanced fellowship program designed to prepare physicians for careers in diagnostic dermatopathology, academic medicine, and specialized clinical practice. The first year of the fellowship is ACGME-accredited, while the second year provides additional advanced training and academic development. Fellows receive extensive exposure to high-volume dermatopathology cases, including challenging consultation cases from national and international sources, and gain expertise in interpreting skin biopsy specimens, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and molecular diagnostic techniques. Fellows receive salary support according to UCSF GME salary structure; 1st-year fellows are appointed as PGY-5 and 2nd-year fellows as PGY-6

Eligibility
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Dermatology Residency
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anatomic Pathology Residency (AP-3)
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Residency (AP/CP-4)
- Completion of an equivalent residency program in Canada accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
- Non-U.S. citizens must have:
- A Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) or
- An appropriate educational visa before starting postgraduate medical education
- Candidates must obtain an unrestricted California Medical License before beginning clinical duties
- Must meet UCSF Graduate Medical Education (GME) eligibility requirements
