Fellowship in Dermatopathology

1. Applicants must have completed training in a United States or Canadian ACGME-accredited AP/CP, AP-only, or CP-only residency program.
2. Applicants must be board-eligible or board-certified.
3. International Medical Graduates (IMGs) are considered only if they completed residency training in a United States or Canadian ACGME-accredited program.
4. A California medical license is required on the first day of the fellowship.

The fellowship provides intensive training in all aspects of dermatopathology, preparing fellows for academic or community practice. Training includes daily review of challenging consultation cases and routine cases, use of immunohistochemistry and molecular pathology, and opportunities for basic science, translational, and clinical research. Three fellowship positions are available.

1. Apply through UCLA’s UC Recruit application system.
2. Submit the application form, Curriculum Vitae (CV), personal statement, letter of good standing from the current program director, photograph, and three letters of recommendation.
3. International medical graduates must also submit the applicable PTAL letter, Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certificate, passport, and either a J-1 Clinical visa or proof of United States citizenship or permanent residency.
4. For the 2028–2029 fellowship cycle, the application period is July 1–December 31, 2026.
