Fellowship in Dermatopathology

1. Applicants must have completed a United States or Canadian Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited residency in Anatomic Pathology / Clinical Pathology, Anatomic Pathology, Clinical

Pathology, or Dermatology.

1. Applicants must be board eligible or board certified.
2. International medical graduates are considered only if they completed residency training in a United States or Canadian ACGME-accredited residency program.
3. A California medical license is required on the first day of the fellowship.
4. Applicants must submit an application, curriculum vitae, personal statement, letter of good standing from the current program director, photograph, and three letters of reference.

The Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, at California, Los Angeles supports advanced clinical education, research, and physician training. The Dermatopathology Fellowship is a one-year accredited program jointly supported by the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and the Division of Dermatology. Fellows receive intensive training in dermatopathology through daily sign-out of challenging consultation cases and a high volume of routine cases from community dermatologists and UCLA Medical Center inpatient services. Training includes immunohistochemistry, molecular pathology, clinical correlation, teaching, and extensive opportunities for basic science, translational, and clinical research. Three fellowship positions are currently available.

1. Apply through the University of California Recruit (UC Recruit) application system.
2. Submit the completed application and required documents.
3. Provide three letters of reference addressed to the Program Director.
4. International graduates must additionally submit the required PTAL letter, Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certificate, passport, and appropriate visa or proof of United States permanent residence/citizenship.
5. The current recruitment period for the 2028–2029 Dermatopathology Fellowship is July 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026.
6. The program reviews applications and selects candidates for the fellowship.
