Fellowship in Dermatopathology

1. Applicants must be board-eligible in Anatomic Pathology (AP), Clinical Pathology (CP), Combined Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP), or Dermatology.
2. California medical licensure is required at the time of appointment.
3. Applicants must meet the applicable Cedars-Sinai Graduate Medical Education eligibility and credentialing requirements.
4. International medical graduates must provide an Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certificate, if applicable.
5. International applicants must meet the program's visa requirements; Cedars-Sinai Pathology Fellowship programs accept J-1 visas only for qualified candidates.

The Dermatopathology Fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center provides advanced training in the diagnosis and management of diseases affecting the skin, combining dermatologic clinical knowledge with microscopic and histopathologic evaluation. Fellows receive comprehensive exposure to a broad range of dermatopathology cases and work closely with faculty from pathology and dermatology. The program provides experience in diagnostic interpretation, clinical-pathologic correlation, and the use of specialized diagnostic techniques. Fellows also participate in educational activities and have opportunities to undertake clinical and translational research. The fellowship prepares physicians for advanced practice and subspecialty certification in dermatopathology.

1. Complete the Cedars-Sinai Pathology Fellowship Application Form.
2. Submit a current curriculum vitae.
3. Submit a statement explaining your interest in Dermatopathology.
4. Submit three letters of reference, including one from the chair or residency program director.
5. Submit United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Steps 1, 2 and 3 scores.
6. Submit medical school transcripts and a copy of the medical school diploma.
7. Submit an Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certificate, if applicable.
8. Submit a California state medical license, if available, and a photograph, if available.
9. Complete the program's review and selection process and fulfill final credentialing, licensure, background-check, and appointment requirements
