Overview

The Dermatopathology Fellowship at ProPath in Dallas is a high-volume, practical subspecialty training program in skin pathology. The curriculum encompasses intensive, supervised laboratory experience in diagnostic dermatopathology, exposure to a broad range of cases — including inflammatory, neoplastic, and complex dermatologic entities — and structured clinical correlation experiences. Fellows work with subspecialty experts and gain experience in ancillary testing modalities such as immunohistochemistry and specialized staining techniques. Training also includes sessions with academic partners such as UT Southwestern’s Department of Dermatology, enhancing clinical contextual understanding. The program emphasizes both technical diagnostic proficiency and professional growth as a dermatopathologist. The fellowship prepares physicians for advanced practice and academic roles in the field.
