Fellowship in Dermatopathology

The Dermatopathology Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is a one-year ACGME-accredited program designed for physicians trained in dermatology or pathology who seek advanced expertise in skin pathology. The program offers exposure to a high-volume and diverse caseload, including routine and complex biopsy specimens from Johns Hopkins clinics as well as referral cases from national and international sources. Fellows train in an academically rich environment with expert faculty, gaining proficiency in diagnostic dermatopathology while integrating clinical correlation. The fellowship also emphasizes graded clinical responsibility, multidisciplinary learning, teaching, and research, preparing fellows for independent subspecialty practice and academic careers.

• Must have MD / DO or equivalent medical degree
• Must have completed residency training in Dermatology or Pathology (postgraduate training required)
• Must be board eligible or board certified in Dermatology or Pathology
• Must be eligible for medical licensure in the United States (e.g., Maryland license at joining)
• Strong academic background and interest in dermatopathology (skin pathology subspecialty)
