The Family Medicine Residency Program at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), Memphis, is a three-year residency program that provides comprehensive training in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of health conditions across all age groups. Residents receive hands-on experience in outpatient and inpatient family medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics, emergency medicine, intensive care, surgery, psychiatry, geriatrics, cardiology, gynecology, and other specialties. The program combines hospital-based and community-based clinical training, with educational activities designed to develop residents' clinical, communication, procedural, and patient-care skills for independent practice in Family Medicine.
