The Emergency Medicine Residency Program at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), Memphis, is a three-year program designed to provide comprehensive training in the evaluation and management of acutely ill and injured patients. Residents gain experience in adult and pediatric emergency medicine, trauma, critical care, ultrasound, toxicology, obstetrics and gynecology, anesthesia, orthopaedics, neurology, ophthalmology, and Emergency Medical Services. Training is conducted across multiple clinical sites and includes high-acuity trauma exposure, procedural training, simulation, didactic education, research, and elective opportunities, preparing residents for independent practice in emergency medicine.
