Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship

1. MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
2. Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency
3. Valid USMLE/COMLEX Step I, Step II CK scores
4. Pennsylvania medical licensure or eligibility before fellowship start
5. Participation in ERAS application process and fellowship interview selection

The Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at Reading Hospital – Tower Health is an ACGME-accredited three-year advanced training pathway designed to develop expert clinicians in adult cardiology. Fellows receive broad exposure to the care of patients with a wide spectrum of cardiovascular conditions, from coronary artery disease and heart failure to arrhythmias and structural heart disease. Reading Hospital is a high-volume center for both noninvasive cardiovascular testing (echocardiography, stress imaging, nuclear cardiology, vascular imaging) and advanced interventional and structural procedures such as TAVR, PFO/ASD closure, Mitral device procedures, and complex electrophysiology ablations. The curriculum includes structured rotations in inpatient cardiology services, cardiac catheterization labs, noninvasive imaging, electrophysiology consultation, advanced heart failure care, and preventive cardiology. Fellows also engage in clinical research, teaching opportunities with residents and medical students, and interdisciplinary care within a dynamic academic environment. Graduates are prepared for board certification in cardiovascular disease and are equipped with the clinical, procedural, and leadership skills needed for careers in academic medicine, interventional cardiology pathways, or advanced clinical practice.
