The Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at Aurora Health Care is a three-year ACGME-accredited postgraduate training program designed to prepare physicians for careers as expert cardiologists. Fellows rotate through a structured curriculum covering inpatient and outpatient cardiology, coronary care units, advanced diagnostic imaging, and specialty subspecialty rotations in areas such as electrophysiology, advanced heart failure, nuclear cardiology, and cardiac catheterization. Training occurs at two major campuses — Aurora St. Luke’s and Aurora Sinai — offering broad exposure to high-acuity clinical settings, advanced technology, and multidisciplinary heart care. During the fellowship, trainees participate in clinical care, case conferences, research initiatives, and scholarly activity, gaining expertise in the comprehensive management of cardiovascular diseases. Graduates are equipped for board eligibility in cardiology and prepared for diverse careers in clinical practice, academic medicine, or further subspecialty training.
