Its Department of Orthopaedic Surgery offers specialized training in various orthopaedic subspecialties and sports medicine. The Sports Medicine Fellowship is a one-year program providing advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of sports-related injuries, with extensive exposure to arthroscopic and open procedures of the hip, knee, shoulder, and elbow, joint preservation, and sports trauma. Fellows also gain experience as team physicians for professional, collegiate, and high school athletes and participate in clinical research, biomechanical studies, cadaveric training, conferences, and academic activities.
