The Pathology Residency is a 4-year, ACGME-accredited residency program offered by the University of Illinois College of Medicine (UICOM), Chicago. The program provides comprehensive training in Anatomic Pathology (AP) and Clinical Pathology (CP) through rotations at university, Veterans Affairs, and affiliated teaching hospitals. Residents gain hands-on experience in surgical pathology, cytopathology, hematopathology, microbiology, molecular pathology, transfusion medicine, autopsy pathology, and forensic pathology. The curriculum integrates structured didactic teaching, multidisciplinary conferences, research opportunities, and elective rotations to prepare graduates for independent practice or advanced fellowship training.
