Fellowship in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine

1. Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education–accredited Internal Medicine Residency.
2. International medical graduates must have a valid Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates certificate.
3. International medical graduates must have completed an accredited Internal Medicine Residency within the last 5 years.
4. The program accepts J-1 visas only and does not accept applicants requiring an H visa.

The three-year fellowship provides comprehensive training in pulmonary and critical care medicine across three hospitals. Fellows receive hands-on experience with a broad range of pulmonary and critical-care conditions, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pulmonary arterial hypertension, sarcoidosis, and interstitial lung diseases. The fellow-driven clinical services provide progressive autonomy with supervision while developing clinical, organizational, and leadership skills for practice as pulmonologists and intensivists.

3. Submit a current photograph.
4. Submit a Personal Statement.
5. Submit a Medical School Transcript.
6. Submit the Medical Student Performance Evaluation.
7. Submit United States Medical Licensing Examination or Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination scores; passing scores are required for Steps 1, 2, and 3.
8. Submit three Letters of Recommendation, including the Medicine Chair.
