The Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine is a three-year ACGME-accredited fellowship based at Children’s Hospital Colorado. The first year focuses primarily on clinical training in inpatient and outpatient pediatric infectious diseases, including infectious disease consultations, HIV care, antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention and control, transplant and immunocompromised patients, and microbiology/virology. Fellows also receive training in global health, epidemiology, tuberculosis, travel medicine, immunology, rheumatology, and adult infectious diseases through electives. The second and third years are primarily dedicated to research, with opportunities in clinical, translational, laboratory, epidemiological, global health, HIV, and antimicrobial stewardship research. The program also emphasizes teaching, academic development, scientific presentations, and publication of research findings.
