Fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Disease

• Completion of a three-year Pediatrics residency or Medicine-Pediatrics residency from an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program
• Must have successfully passed all required components of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE):
• Must fulfill American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) eligibility requirements for initial certification
• Must meet eligibility requirements for pediatric medical training in the United States
• International Medical Graduates (IMGs) must have a valid ECFMG certification and fulfill applicable licensing requirements
• Strong interest in pediatric infectious diseases, clinical care, and research
• Good academic record and professional standing are preferred
• Research experience or publications in infectious diseases, pediatrics, or related fields are advantageous

The Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is an advanced clinical training program focused on developing specialists in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of infectious diseases affecting infants, children, and adolescents. The fellowship provides comprehensive exposure to inpatient and outpatient pediatric infectious disease care, including complex infections, antimicrobial resistance, HIV, immunocompromised host infections, vaccine-preventable diseases, and global health-related infections.
