Fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology

The Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine provides comprehensive subspecialty training in digestive and liver diseases affecting children. Fellows gain extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal, hepatic, pancreatic, and nutritional disorders, as well as hands-on training in pediatric endoscopy. The curriculum integrates robust clinical exposure with dedicated research time, didactic instruction, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Fellows work closely with surgeons, nutritionists, and other pediatric specialists while participating in teaching and quality improvement initiatives. Training at a nationally recognised children’s hospital ensures exposure to a diverse and complex patient population. Graduates are exceptionally well prepared for careers in academic pediatric gastroenterology and specialised clinical practice.

• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
• Completion of an accredited Paediatrics residency.
• Board eligible or board certified in Pediatrics.
• Eligible for Illinois medical licensure.
• Apply through ERAS and participate in the NRMP Match.
• Submit a CV, personal statement, letters of recommendation, and supporting documents.
• Successfully complete interviews and credentialing requirements.
