The UAB Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship is a three-year Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited program designed to prepare fellows for academic careers in gynecologic oncology. The fellowship includes 12 months of protected research training and 24 months of clinical training, with extensive experience in the evaluation and management of malignant and complex gynecologic conditions. Fellows develop advanced skills in open and minimally invasive surgery, multidisciplinary cancer care, chemotherapy, radiation oncology, and clinical research. The program also provides structured education through tumor boards, journal clubs, didactic conferences, and research mentorship, with opportunities to participate in basic, translational, and clinical research.
