Fellowship in Gynecological Oncology

1. Completion of an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program is required
2. Applicants must meet the requirements for ACGME fellowship training
3. Applicants must provide CREOG scores
4. Applicants should have the appropriate clinical and academic preparation for advanced training in Gynecologic Oncology
5. Four letters of recommendation are required, including:
6. At least one SGO Standard Letter of Evaluation
7. One letter from the residency Program Director
8. At least two letters from Gynecologic Oncologists

The Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship Program is a 3-year ACGME-accredited fellowship focused on comprehensive management of cancers of the female reproductive organs and preparation of fellows for careers as academic physician-scientists and leaders in gynecologic oncology. The first year emphasizes basic science and translational research, while the second and third years focus on advanced clinical and surgical training with progressively increasing responsibility. Fellows train at University of Colorado Hospital and Denver Health Medical Center, participate in inpatient care, surgery, oncology clinics, teaching, and research, and may complete graduate-level coursework in biostatistics and molecular/cell biology.

1. Complete and submit the ERAS application
2. Submit all required application materials through ERAS
3. Submit CREOG scores by email to fellowships.OBGYN@ucdenver.edu; all available scores should be combined into one PDF
4. Submit four letters of recommendation through ERAS according to the program's requirements
5. If applicable, submit MSKCC or MD Anderson evaluation letters as part of the application or separately to the Fellowship Coordinator
6. Shortlisted candidates participate in the fellowship interview
7. For the 2026 cycle, the application deadline was April 6, 2026, with interviews scheduled for August 5 and August 11, 2026
