Fellowship in Gynecological Oncology

1. Must have completed an ACGME-accredited core residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
2. Must meet all eligibility requirements of the Los Angeles General Medical Center Office of Graduate Medical Education.
3. Must obtain a California medical license by the beginning of fellowship training.
4. Completion of the fellowship prepares candidates to fulfill the requirements for subspecialty certification in Gynecologic Oncology through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG).

The Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship Program at Keck School of Medicine of USC is a three-year ACGME-accredited fellowship providing advanced clinical, surgical, and research training in the management of gynecologic cancers and premalignant conditions. Fellows receive training in gynecologic cancer surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, genetics, fertility preservation, and multidisciplinary cancer care, with clinical experience at Los Angeles General Medical Center and USC-affiliated cancer facilities. The program also emphasizes research, including basic science, translational research, epidemiology, and biostatistics.

1. Apply through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
2. Register with the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).
3. Follow the Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO) common application dates for the fellowship cycle.
4. Submit the complete ERAS application, including required examination information.
5. CREOG scores must be emailed to Ian O’Donnell, the Fellowship Coordinator.
6. USMLE scores must also be included; incomplete applications, including missing CREOG and/or USMLE scores, may not be considered.
7. Eligible applications are reviewed by the fellowship program, followed by the program's selection process and NRMP Match.
