Fellowship in Gynecological Oncology

The Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is a three-year ACGME-accredited program that prepares physicians for leadership in the care of women with gynecologic malignancies. Fellows receive extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of ovarian, uterine, cervical, vulvar, and other gynecologic cancers. Training encompasses radical and minimally invasive surgical techniques, chemotherapy administration, palliative care, and participation in multidisciplinary tumor boards. The curriculum integrates protected research time, allowing fellows to pursue clinical, translational, or basic science investigations under the guidance of experienced faculty mentors. Fellows also engage in teaching, quality improvement initiatives, and national scholarly activities. Exposure to a diverse patient population and cutting-edge therapies ensures comprehensive preparation for academic and clinical careers in gynecologic oncology. Graduates emerge as highly skilled clinicians, surgeons, and investigators dedicated to advancing women’s cancer care.

• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
• Completion of an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency.
• Board eligible or board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Eligible for Illinois medical licensure.
• Apply through ERAS and participate in the NRMP Match.
• Submit a CV, personal statement, and letters of recommendation.
• Successfully complete interviews and credentialing.
