Overview

The Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine is a rigorous four-year super-specialty training program designed to produce leaders in women’s cancer care. Fellows receive extensive training in advanced oncologic surgery, including radical pelvic procedures, minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgeries, and complex cytoreductive operations. The program provides integrated exposure to chemotherapy, targeted therapy, radiation oncology coordination, and palliative cancer care. Fellows actively participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, clinical trials, and translational research initiatives. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based practice, surgical excellence, patient-centered care, and academic development. Teaching of residents and medical students is a core responsibility. Graduates are well prepared for American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) subspecialty certification and careers in academic oncology, tertiary cancer centers, or advanced surgical practice.
