Fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology

1. Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency.
2. Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Oklahoma.
3. Valid ECFMG certification for international medical graduates (if applicable).
4. Application through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service).
5. Participation in the NRMP Fellowship Match.
6. Demonstrated clinical or research interest in rheumatology, immunology, or allergy.

The Rheumatology, Immunology & Allergy Fellowship at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine is a comprehensive two-year postgraduate training program designed to prepare physicians for advanced clinical and academic careers in immune-mediated diseases. The program provides extensive exposure to inpatient consult services and high-volume outpatient clinics managing rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, spondyloarthropathies, vasculitis, crystal arthropathies, and immune deficiency disorders. Fellows receive structured training in musculoskeletal examination, joint aspiration and injection techniques, immunologic diagnostics, and biologic and targeted therapies. The curriculum emphasizes multidisciplinary care, evidence-based treatment strategies, and long-term disease management. Fellows participate in case conferences, journal clubs, research projects, and teaching activities. Graduates are well prepared for American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) certification in Rheumatology and careers in academic medicine, tertiary care centers, or specialized rheumatology practice.
