The Emergency Medicine Residency Program at UC Irvine School of Medicine, Irvine is a three-year ACGME-accredited residency program that provides advanced clinical training in the evaluation, diagnosis, stabilization, and management of acute and critical medical conditions. The program offers comprehensive exposure to emergency care, trauma management, critical care, pediatric emergencies, resuscitation, point-of-care ultrasound, and emergency procedures through training at high-volume clinical sites including a Level I Trauma Center. Residents participate in structured educational activities such as conferences, simulation training, case discussions, journal clubs, and faculty-led teaching sessions, developing the clinical expertise, decision-making skills, and leadership abilities required for independent practice in emergency medicine.
