The Emergency Medicine Residency Program sponsored by Tower Health and centered at Reading Hospital provides dynamic, hands-on training across a broad spectrum of emergency care. Residents learn to manage urgent and critical conditions in high-pressure environments, including trauma, acute illness, procedural interventions, and diagnostic decision-making. The program integrates core emergency medicine training with rotations in trauma services, critical care units, ultrasound, orthopedics, toxicology, and pediatric emergency exposure. Tower Health’s model emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, patient-centered care, and evidence-based practice. Educational components include supervised clinical shifts, structured didactics, simulation labs, interdisciplinary case reviews, and quality improvement projects. Residents work alongside experienced emergency physicians and faculty, gaining experience in varied clinical sites that expose them to diverse patient populations and a wide range of clinical scenarios. This training prepares graduates for board eligibility in Emergency Medicine and equips them with the skills needed to practice safely and effectively in community and academic emergency settings.
