The Radiology-Diagnostic Residency Program at the University of Minnesota Medical School is a five-year training program, including a PGY-1 clinical base year followed by four years of diagnostic radiology training. The program provides comprehensive exposure to neuroradiology, breast imaging, chest, musculoskeletal imaging, pediatric radiology, CT, body imaging, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology across the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Masonic Children’s Hospital, Hennepin Healthcare, and the Minneapolis VA Health Care System. Residents also receive structured didactic teaching, physics education, case conferences, research opportunities, quality-improvement projects, mentorship, and progressive clinical responsibility to prepare them for ABR certification and independent radiology practice.
