The Diagnostic Radiology Residency at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine provides comprehensive training across all major subspecialties of diagnostic radiology. Residents rotate through four affiliated hospitals—University of Colorado Hospital, Children’s Hospital Colorado, Denver Health Medical Center, and Denver VA Medical Center—with exposure to nearly 1 million imaging studies annually. The program combines broad clinical experience with daily interactive conferences, weekly resident-led teaching sessions, emergency radiology lectures, dedicated physics preparation, elective and research opportunities, and access to the American Institute for Radiologic Pathology (AIRP) course. The program prepares residents for fellowship training and careers in academic and private radiology practice.
