The UMass Chan Diagnostic Radiology residency is a four-year ACGME-accredited program (PGY-2 through PGY-5) based at UMass Memorial Health's University and Memorial campuses in Worcester, offering residents hands-on clinical training across a high-volume imaging practice with roughly 800,000 studies performed annually at six sites in central Massachusetts. Training combines structured didactics, procedural skills simulation, and a communication skills curriculum with community radiology electives at smaller affiliate hospitals and an executive leadership elective working directly with the department chair. The program also offers pathways into Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology (ESIR) and an integrated IR/DR track, along with opportunities for research, teaching, and participation in national radiology societies and conferences
