The Child Neurology Residency Program at the University of Minnesota Medical School is a five-year categorical residency combining 2 years of General Pediatrics, 12 months of Adult Neurology, and 24 months of Child Neurology. Residents receive comprehensive training in pediatric and adult neurological disorders across four clinical sites, with exposure to pediatric epilepsy, EEG, neurodevelopmental disorders, neuromuscular conditions, genetics, complex care, stroke, neurocritical care, and outpatient subspecialty care. The program also includes protected didactic training, simulation, quality improvement, advocacy, research, and opportunities through Neurology Educator, SPRINT Research, and Global Health tracks.
