Child Neurology Residency Program

The Child Neurology Residency Program at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine is a five-year categorical residency that provides comprehensive training in pediatric and adult neurology. The program includes two years of general pediatrics, one year of adult neurology, and two years of child neurology, with clinical exposure to epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, neurogenetics, neurodevelopment, pediatric stroke, neuro-oncology and other neurological conditions. Training includes inpatient and outpatient care, neurophysiology, neuroradiology, research and elective experiences at Children’s Hospital Colorado, University of Colorado Hospital and Denver Health Medical Center.

3. Applicants should apply directly to the University of Colorado Child Neurology Residency Program; a separate Pediatrics application is not required

5. The application period currently opens September 2, with a October 7 deadline; late or incomplete applications may not be reviewed
6. Selected candidates are invited for an interview
7. For the 2026–2027 recruitment season, interviews are conducted virtually and are scheduled between October 27 and December 15
8. After matching, residents complete two years of Pediatrics training before progressing to Child Neurology training in PGY-3
