The Child Neurology Residency Program at UNC School of Medicine (UNCSOM), Chapel Hill is a comprehensive residency program designed to train physicians in the diagnosis and management of neurological disorders affecting infants, children, and adolescents. The program combines training in Pediatrics and Child Neurology, providing residents with clinical experience in pediatric neurology, developmental disorders, epilepsy, neurogenetic conditions, neuromuscular diseases, neuroimmunology, and pediatric neurocritical care. Residents receive training through inpatient and outpatient services, subspecialty rotations, multidisciplinary care teams, research activities, and advanced diagnostic evaluations. The program prepares graduates for careers as independent Child Neurologists in clinical practice, academic medicine, research, or further subspecialty fellowship training.
