The Internal Medicine Residency Program at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), Memphis, provides three years of comprehensive training in internal medicine through inpatient, outpatient, intensive care, and subspecialty rotations. Residents gain clinical experience at multiple teaching hospitals and manage a diverse range of medical conditions, including complex and high-acuity cases. The program also provides opportunities for research, quality improvement, simulation training, point-of-care ultrasound, and scholarly activities, preparing residents for independent practice or further subspecialty fellowship training.
