Residency in Internal Medicine

The Keck School of Medicine of USC Internal Medicine Residency Program is a 3-year ACGME-approved residency providing comprehensive training in inpatient and ambulatory internal medicine. The program follows a 3+1 curriculum, combining hospital-based rotations with dedicated ambulatory medicine weeks. Residents receive clinical training in internal medicine wards, MICU, CCU, neurology, emergency medicine, GI/liver, hematology-oncology, geriatrics, palliative care and addiction medicine. The curriculum also includes morning report, grand rounds, board review, quality improvement, simulation, ultrasound, procedures, research and scholarly activities across multiple USC-affiliated hospitals.

2. Submit the ERAS Common Application Form
3. Upload CV and Personal Statement
4. Submit MSPE/Dean’s Letter and medical school transcript
5. Submit USMLE/COMLEX score reports
6. Provide a minimum of 2 Letters of Recommendation
7. IMG applicants must provide ECFMG certification, if applicable
8. The program considers application signaling as part of its holistic review
9. Selected applicants receive an invitation for a virtual Zoom interview
10. Interview scheduling is conducted through Thalamus
11. Residency positions are offered through the NRMP Match.
