The Interventional Radiology–Integrated Residency Program at the University of Minnesota Medical School is an integrated training program combining diagnostic and interventional radiology with comprehensive patient care. Residents train at three University hospitals in Minneapolis and gain hands-on experience in adult and pediatric interventions, including vascular disease, aortic endografts, venous interventions, dialysis access, TIPS, tumor embolization and ablation, fibroid and prostate embolization, vascular malformations, vertebroplasty, biliary and genitourinary procedures, vascular access, biopsies, and drain placements. Training also includes interpretation of CTA, MRA, and vascular ultrasound, along with management of patients from pre-procedure assessment through post-procedure follow-up
