The Integrated Interventional Radiology Residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine (UICOM), Chicago is an ACGME-accredited six-year residency program that provides comprehensive training in both Diagnostic Radiology (DR) and Interventional Radiology (IR). The program is designed to develop physicians with expertise in diagnostic imaging, image-guided minimally invasive procedures, and comprehensive patient care. Residents receive progressive clinical responsibility while gaining experience in pre-procedure evaluation, procedural techniques, and post-procedure management. The curriculum includes multidisciplinary conferences, research opportunities, and exposure to a wide range of vascular, oncologic, hepatobiliary, gastrointestinal, and women's health interventions. Graduates are eligible to pursue American Board of Radiology (ABR) IR/DR board certification and careers in academic medicine or clinical practice.
