The Pediatrics Residency Program at UMass Chan Medical School is a 3-year residency focused on comprehensive pediatric training, evidence-based primary care and multidisciplinary care. Residents gain progressive clinical experience in inpatient pediatrics, NICU, PICU, Pediatric Emergency Medicine, newborn nursery, adolescent medicine, developmental-behavioral pediatrics and pediatric mental health, along with continuity primary care and elective rotations. The program also incorporates simulation training, quality improvement, research, advocacy, global health, palliative care and medical education, preparing graduates for careers in primary care, hospital medicine or pediatric subspecialty fellowship
